Beyond the title
The work speaks.
Reporting has never been just about documenting what happened. For Latoya, it has meant finding the story inside the work — then helping people see why it mattered.
Publications. Award submissions. Reporting systems. Training. Campaigns. Digital storytelling. Each represents a different way of helping the work of Zeta become visible, understood, and remembered.

What the work demonstrates
Four things this archive shows.
- Strategic storytelling
- Finding the story inside the work, then shaping it for the audience it needs to reach — publications, submissions, and campaigns.
- Systems and continuity
- Standard operating procedures, planning guides, and toolkits written so the work survives a change in officers.
- Training and capacity building
- Sessions that teach other Sorors to recognize, document, and communicate their own chapter's story.
- Audience engagement
- Selected South Carolina communications whose reach and response are documented, disclosed, and never altered.
Case study
The work belonged to South Carolina. My role was helping its story be seen.
The work
Statewide service, programming, leadership, and community impact.
The reporting
- Collect.
- Organize.
- Document.
- Contextualize.
- Tell.
The result
South Carolina's collective impact became a cohesive submission presented for recognition at the 2026 Grand Boulé.
The voice
“Let your gift speak for you. You helped make my dream come true through your work supporting South Carolina's Power of S.H.E. Award at the 2026 Grand Boulé.”
— Immediate Past South Carolina State Director
The achievement belonged to South Carolina. This evidence documents Latoya's role in helping capture and communicate the collective work.
Capacity building
The goal was never to be the only storyteller.
Strong organizational storytelling becomes sustainable when more people know how to recognize a story, document the impact, communicate it responsibly, and help it reach the right audience.
Eight states do not need one storyteller. They need a connected network of storytellers.
That network is the center of Latoya's vision for Southeastern Region Reporter.
Digital evolution
The platforms will change. The responsibility to tell the story well will not.
Digital communications should continue evolving alongside traditional reporting and publication — never replacing it.
Different channels. One purpose.
- Help the work be seen.
- Help the story be understood.
- Help the impact be remembered.
Channels in practice
- Publications
- Websites

- Reporting systems
Digital platforms are managed under the policies, approvals, and leadership authority of the organization. This experience is offered as evidence of Latoya's ability to understand audiences and extend stories — not as a claim of control over any platform.

The numbers aren't the story. They demonstrate what can happen when the story reaches the right audience.
Chapter → State → Regional → International

Different levels. Different audiences. One lesson: the story becomes stronger when we understand how the pieces connect.
Where the work can go next
Now I'm ready to help the stories travel across state lines.
Latoya's vision for Regional Reporter is active, curious, and connected.
Go where the stories are.
When appropriate, visit state events, conferences, programs, and meaningful moments throughout the Southeastern Region — experiencing the work rather than relying only on what arrives in an inbox.
Listen across the Region.
Follow how states, chapters, auxiliaries, and communicators are already telling their stories across digital platforms. Look for what is working. Notice what deserves greater amplification. Create opportunities for stories to travel across state lines.
Equip the storytellers.
Continue training reporters and communicators in storytelling, reporting, digital strategy, emerging platforms, analytics, and sustainable communications practices.
The goal is not eight states telling the same story the same way. The goal is eight states whose distinctive stories help us understand why the Southeastern Region is Second to None.
Second to None should be more than something we say.
Let's show the sisterhood why.
- Amplify the work.
- Connect the stories.
- Preserve the impact.
